Hullo all! I'm having a "posh" time here in China! The first three days we stayed in Shanghai, where we landed after our fourteen hour flight. It was exhausting. But now, a ten hour bullet train ride later, I am in Beijing with my group. The train ride sucked, we fell off our bunks every time it turned a corner, and I was on a top one.

It's strange how smoggy it is here. Everyone smokes, and the pollution is crazy. You can hardly see twenty feet in front of you, it's so foggy. But at least they recycle.

But now that that's all behind me, I'm staying at this super cool school that has all kinds of fun things to do. Like, we are staying in dorms, and we have our regular scheduled things, but we can go to optional fun classes at night, things like Chinese paper cutting and knot making, even cook and learn stuff about the food. I wish I could actually go to school and live here. It's amazing.

We visited the Bird's Nest today, and I'm sad to say that it's not nearly as big as it looks on tv. It's just about the size of a regular football stadium. Tomorrow, I shall conquer the Great Wall!

When we came back from that though, I hung out outside and met some cool British kids that keep hitting on me and my friends Kay and Meridith. We got the guys to say sandwich, which was hilarious, and learned that they call bandaids "plasters", tennis shoes "trainers", and they say posh (which is like my new favorite word) all the time. They are neat, but they're like, fourteen, so it's pretty creepy.

I'm guessing that Alexis is the only one reading this... so I'm just going to tell you that I've found you about two gifts so far, and it's only four days in. This place is amazing.
